How you can help The Cheka Sana Foundation
Personal donations make a huge difference to the lives of the children we support, whether or not it is for outreach when they are on the street, or supporting them at our centre. So if you are in a position to make any form of donation we would be very, very grateful. Here are some examples of how your money gets spent:
Smaller donations help with basic school supplies such as paper, pens and educational materials. Very much the sort of items that we take for granted can make a huge difference for the children in our care.
Our sports initiatives are reliant on having sports kit available for the children who get involved. Team strip, football boots and balls are all important in ensuring the boys and girls feel like a team and leave the street behind.
Larger donations go towards core running costs, staffing and accommodation facilities at our residential centre. This includes furniture, bed linen, food and of course the invaluable staff who are so key to getting these children off the street.
Please note: Donations are to Caretakers for the Environment Tanzania (COET), our former operating name.
If you would be interested in holding a fundraiser to support the work of our organisation, then we would welcome your initiative.
Please contact us using the form below and we can provide you with ideas, support and the materials to make your fundraiser possible.
We welcome volunteers to our projects, so if you are interested, please get in touch with us below. Volunteering is a hugely important way in how you can help the CSF - there is no better way to see the valuable work that our staff and grassroots social workers undertake. Volunteering is a hugely rewarding personal experience and helps us in that it creates a life-long ambassador for our cause.
